He has been working in the Dnipropetrovsk Historical Museum since January 1977, first as a senior researcher in the exposition department, and since 1978 – in the fund department. Organized the fund, created a perfect reference apparatus, established care for the preservation of unique documentary and book sources.
S.V. Abrosymov wrote his research work. focused on the cataloging of the book and archival fund and their introduction into scientific circulation. During 1985-1992, she prepared and published 5 catalogs. In the 1990s, the epistolary heritage of academician D.I. became the main object of Svitlana Viktorivna’s scientific research. Yavornytskyi. In addition, S.V. Abrosymova studies the epistolary heritage of the local noble elite, in particular the archives of the Nechaevs, Alekseevs, Synelnikovs, Komstadius, Shperbergs. Her scientific output consists of 5 catalogs, 1 monograph, 7 collections, many archeographic publications, more than 50 articles in scientific collections and periodicals, about 150 publications in popular magazines and newspapers.
